Now seriously, here is the purpose for the blog. Whenever God reveals something of his nature to a person, this knowledge isn’t meant to be hoarded or kept to oneself. In Jesus’ culture, a light hid under a basket is quickly extinguished. Rather, true knowledge and love and fear of God are to be proclaimed from the rooftops! And this is the most natural thing in the world for the Christian who loves God*, since the love of God is always an overspilling love. When I learn something true about God, the Christian life, or the arts of creation, my joy is not complete until I spill this wonderful knowledge to somebody else. So exists this blog, that whoever desires to partake of it may, and who not, not. The apostle John explains my intention best in the preface to his first epistle:

And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.
1 John 1:4

My promise to you is that I will write only what my conscience, aligned by scripture and the Holy Spirit, attests to be true. And having stuck here this far, your complementary promise to me is that you’ll drop a comment if you ever have one! I’d love to know if you find on this humble site anything encouraging or edifying. Likewise I write always in faith that God will guard his Word from any distortion or twist that may be found in my mind, and reveal such an error to me by way of your comments! Anything offensive or off-topic will be removed.
